Creating these paintings is how I cope when I'm in the midst of a mess. I was teaching a group of women about finding Jesus in the mess and painted this for them during our discussion.
 
Here is a snippet from my journal at that time. 

Some context- in my journal writing I write prayers to God and then I imagine what He would say if He were here and I write down whatever comes to my mind...

September 2018
“ME: ...Trying to trust and not be afraid.
GOD: I have always taken care of you. You will have what you need to complete the work I want you to do. It’s okay to feel afraid. Remember fear is natural. You won’t ever be fearless. Acknowledge you are afraid and move on. Don’t let fear stop you.
ME: That’s why I shared my story on Sunday. It was so scary. Someone sent me a text today thanking me and discussing it, and it brought up many fears. The biggest one is I worry what others think of me and my life. Of my marriage. Of my choices. Think I’m crazy. Or that I talk too much. Or that I’m broken and don’t have things together. But I see it as part of a sacrifice of me sacrificing everything. What people think of me is the hardest...”
